Exciting opportunities to join an ambitious team at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham

The Participation and Engagement team is expanding and has a number of new roles that have been established to help us deliver on an ambitious participation agenda.

Through participation and engagement, we are working with and empowering our residents to take the lead in communities and be the catalyst for change, while we create the infrastructure to help residents achieve their ambitions.

We are working alongside our VCSE locally to collaborate on the shared ambition for the borough and our residents. We think this is a bold and radical reform of our approach to public service, reorientating towards a genuinely relational, participatory and empowering approach. So, we have three new posts to help us embed our approach and we are recruiting now.

We want people that embody our organisational values and care about our communities and borough. We are looking for professional people to join our dynamic team, people that want to take responsibility and ownership for creating the conditions to empower our communities to reach their potential. 

We want creative, ideas people that know how to connect to the residents of the borough as well as our internal and VCSE partners. 

We want people who are passionate about how we can work together with our communities to find the best solutions to tackle complex challenges.

We are looking for people that will build the systems that support our residents and communities make real change to improve outcomes for themselves and our borough.
