Warning over fake parking ticket issued
Residents and other motorists have been urged to keep an eye out for a fake email which fraudulently claims to be from Barking and Dagenham Council telling the recipient they have been issued with a parking ticket.

The fake email includes links asking recipients to click on to it to challenge the ticket.

We would never issue a parking ticket by email.

This is a complete scam.

On no account should you click on to the links in the email.

If you do it is likely your computer and possibly your identity will be compromised.

Instead you should search for a PCN on this page and enter the number to check if it is legitimate.

We are currently investigating this matter.

Before you pay your Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) you must have the PCN reference number and a credit or debit payment card to hand.

PCN reference numbers begin with either BU or BZ:
