A tribute concert to celebrate the rich musical history of the Roundhouse pub, which has played host to some the world most famous rock bands.

Headlined by rock music phenomena SWEET. Also on stage Bon Jovi, Madness and Queen tribute acts and our Roundhouse Unsigned acts.

Roundhouse Unsigned Toggle accordion

We are excited to announce a new and refreshed music competition open to original bands, singers and groups alike called 'Roundhouse Unsigned'. If you’re the next big rock band, an up coming singer-songwriter or a fresh new group that’s a cut above the rest this is for you.

The final will take place on a big concert stage at the Roundhouse Music Festival on bank holiday Monday 29 August with the overall winner performing to thousands of festival goers. Our winner will also receive a cash prize and more goodies to be announced soon!

Roundhouse Unsigned celebrates our amazing local talent and the rich musical history of our borough and this venue that has seen world renowned acts perform centre stage including Queen, Elton John, Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd.

The competition is now open on and you have until 20 July to send your video links and contact details to:

Successful entries will go through to the live semi finals at The Roundhouse pub in Dagenham on 8th and 9th of August. To enter you must perform your own original music and be an unsigned act. Your performance at the semi finals and finals must include just one cover in your own style of a song from a band/act that played at The Roundhouse venue (The Village Blues Club, open in 1969):

Searches including bags will be carried out as you enter the venue.

You can bring:

  • food, or this can be purchased
  • sealed soft drinks or water
  • folding chairs or picnic rugs

Please do not bring:

  • alcohol or unsealed soft drinks
  • glass
  • BBQs or gazebos
  • weapons, drugs or legal highs
  • uncontrolled or dangerous dogs (please keep dogs on leads)

Official event photography and filming will take place and will be used for all marketing and communication purposes. Photo consent forms will be completed for close-up shots of children. Please contact the Information Point if you have any concerns.

Parking will be within the park.

Enter via the park’s Rainham Road North entrance.

Please note there is a £3.50 charge to park your vehicle in the event car park.

Blue Badge Holders

Free blue badge parking on site on grass.

Public transport

The park has two transport connections serviced by the District line via Dagenham East station which is a 25 minute walk from the venue and Dagenham Heathway station which is a 35 minute walk from the venue.


Central Park is a relatively flat site on grass with hard standing paths.

The vast majority of the park is accessible to wheelchairs.


The site has toilets and baby change.

There is a fully accessible facility with changing area, shower and toilet with ramped access and a hoist.

For assistance during the event, please visit the Information Point.

First Aid on site is located near the Information Point.

Families attending are encouraged to visit the Information Point in order to gain a wristband in case children or vulnerable adults become separated from your group.

There is no accommodation on site, however, we have a number of local accommodation within a short distance.
