Entry Conditions

Please enter the site at the main entrance by The Broadway, in front of St. Margaret's Church.

To ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable day at the event following entry conditions apply:

  • No alcohol brought on site
  • No weapons or tools on site
  • No glass on site
  • No unsealed bottles
  • No gazebos and BBQs (folding chairs are permitted)
  • No fireworks, pyrotechnics and smoke devices
  • No uncontrolled or dangerous dogs on site
  • Keep dogs on a lead at all times
  • Do not leave pets in vehicles
  • No drones on site
  • No driving on site unless in the permitted hours with a security escort
  • Please keep children with you at all times - visit the Information Point to get a wristband with your contact details for your children in case children or vulnerable adults become separated from your group.
  • Searches will be undertaken
  • Photography and film will be taken please see signage

Official event photography and filming will take place and will be used for all marketing and communication purposes. Photo consent forms will be completed for close-up shots of children. Please contact the Information Point if you have any concerns.

Access and Facilities

Parking

No event parking, please walk or use public transport.

If parking in nearby roads, please be considerate to residents. Nearest car park is located at London Road Multi-Storey Car Park

Blue Badge Holders

Free blue badge parking in designated bays on the Broadway and on Clockhouse Avenue.

Public Transport

The park has transport connections serviced by the District line via Barking Station which is an interchange station served by London Underground, London Overground and National Rail main line services.

Barking station is a 8 minute walk from the venue.

There are four bus services that stop within a few minutes walk of Abbey Green. The 169 and 366 to London Road or the 238 & EL1 to Barking Station. Use the TFL journey planner and enter our postcode, IG11 8AS, as your destination.

Accessibility

The Abbey Green is a relatively flat site on grass with hard standing paths. The site has accessible toilet facilities, accessible viewing platform, and a hearing loop is available on site.

Facilities

First Aid on site is located near the Information Point. Families attending are encouraged to visit the Information Point in order to gain a wristband in case children or vulnerable adults become separated from your group.

There is no accommodation on site, however, we have a number of local accommodation within a short distance - Premier InnTravelodge, and Ibis
