Your Council Tax account can be accessed through your My B&D account where you can view your bill, make payments and find out more Council Tax information.

Who should pay Council Tax

If you’re 18 and over and own or rent your property, you will usually need to pay Council Tax for it.

Council Tax for landlords

If you’re a landlord or managing agent in Barking and Dagenham, you need to register for Council Tax with us and let us know when your tenants move in or out.

Empty properties and second homes

If you have an empty and unfurnished property, a second home that is furnished or an uninhabitable property, you still need to pay Council Tax for it.
