Youth and Community Activities with Barking and Dagenham Youth Dance
Barking and Dagenham Youth Dance (BDYD) offer an eco-system of activities including weekly dance sessions for 5-19 year olds every Saturday
Location
Abbey Leisure Centre, Barking, IG11 7LX
All their projects are led by, assisted by or planned by former and/or current BDYD service users. They provide holistic opportunities for young people to flourish and improve their mental health and wellbeing. They offer opportunities that engage local people in constructive action, through tasks such as dance, drama and singing, and emphasize common values such as friendship, citizenship, and learning.

- Youth Dance Instructor Programmes
- Career pathway advice
- Alumni buddy scheme
- Motivational seminars
- Performance opportunities
- After-school club workshops
- Peer-to-peer support network
- Counselling
- Wrap-around support provision
