Barking and Dagenham One Panel

Barking and Dagenham ‘One Panel’

What is the ‘One Panel’

The Barking and Dagenham ‘One Panel’, launched in February 2024, provides a forum to bring together referrals for cases to be considered for review.  These include Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs), Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs) and Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRs).  The Panel will also undertake the important role of monitoring recommendations of completed reviews and ensuring that learning is shared across Barking and Dagenham.

Referrals

Referrals to the ‘One Panel’ should be made using the form below:

It is important that a referral, once identified by an agency/professional as being required, is received into the One Panel Business administration in a timely way.  Prior to a referral being heard at one of the monthly Panel Meetings, a scoping exercise needs to be undertaken which can take approximately two weeks.  For maximum learning to be achieved from a Case Review, and of course any identified immediate safeguarding actions to be taken, it is important that referrals are not delayed.
