- B&D JSNA -The Barking and Dagenham Joint Strategic Needs Assessment provides a detailed overview of the borough’s health and wellbeing challenges and priorities, aiming to reduce inequalities and improve healthy life expectancy through data-driven, place-based action.
- Homelessness Health Needs Assessment - The Homelessness Health Needs Assessment aims to provide key insights to inform action and planning in Barking & Dagenham which will help to:
- Understand the health needs of people experiencing homelessness.
- Inform potential strategic changes required to better meet those needs.

Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment
Under the Health and Social Care Act 2012, every Health and Wellbeing Board is mandated to publish a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) every three years or sooner if significant changes in service provision arise.
PNAs assess the availability and accessibility of pharmaceutical services, taking into account the health needs of the local population, identifying where there may be a lack of pharmaceutical services or unmet needs.

Strategies
Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2023 to 2028
The Barking and Dagenham Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy sets out a five-year plan to improve residents’ health, reduce inequalities, and promote wellbeing through community partnerships and targeted action across all life stages.
As required by the Health and the Care Act 2012, the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy outlines Health and Wellbeing Board partners’ key priorities to improve population health. The Health and Wellbeing Strategy was endorsed by Health and Wellbeing Board on 26 June 2023.
