London Road car park closed
Due to an ongoing police incident and crime scene, London Road Car Park will be closed today (Monday 14 October).
In September 2019 the council took the decision to replace the flats at 53-135 Roxwell Rd and 2 & 4 Stebbing Way, after consultation with residents. You can view the report:

Work is now underway to design new, top quality replacement homes on the site. Existing residents will have the right to return if they want to, once the work is completed, which we anticipate will be by the summer of 2023.
That the Mayors and Burgesses of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham of Civic Centre, Dagenham, RM10 7BN ("the council") intends to demolish:
The reason for the intended demolition is to enable the implementation of the Estate Renewal Programme which will deliver an improvement in both the quality and number of homes in the borough.
The date when any initial demolition notice or notices relating to the above premises will cease to be in force, unless revoked or otherwise terminated under the Housing Act 1985 Schedule 5A paragraph3, is 23rd December 2024
There may be a right to compensation under the Housing Act 1985 Section 138C in respect of certain expenditure incurred in respect of any existing claim.
