Barking and Dagenham Council’s fight against fly-tipping continues with the 12th episode of its CCTV Appeal.
The Crimewatch-style web series features footage of people dumping rubbish in the borough and allows residents to help the council to find, catch and fine enviro-criminals.
A Christmas tree, chairs, boxes, and black bags are some of the fly-tipped items that feature in the latest episode. The new video also includes footage of fly-tipping from new locations in Eldred Road, Barking and Stamford Road, Becontree.
Following earlier CCTV Appeals, 15 fines have been issued to fly-tippers. Last year the council issued over 1,300 Fixed Penalty Notices for grime crime offences and secured 20 prosecutions resulting in over £13,000 of fines and costs.
