Local businesses invited to find out if they are eligible for a Covid business grant

Business operating in Barking and Dagenham who have been impacted local and national Covid-19 restrictions are being invited to check if they are eligible for grant support.

The council is currently accepting applications for the new round of grants – there are four different types of grants all with different eligibility criteria and grant award amounts.

There is one application form which covers all four different grants making it as easy as possible for businesses to apply. The different award amounts have been listed on the application form and businesses should check if they are eligible before completing the application form.

Councillor Sade Bright, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and Aspiration, said: “I am happy to be able to announce that local businesses impacted by the restrictions can now apply for the next round of business support grants.

“Local business owners can also check the council’s website for links to other support opportunities for businesses and residents by visiting our ‘B&D working together’ section on our website. This brings together all the relevant links to support we can offer to residents seeking work, and businesses affected by the current crisis.”

Businesses can visit the Business Grants application website at One Borough Voice to find out if they are eligible and to make an application.

They can also view a quick video which explains the process:
