The council’s job shops have a number of vacancies including:
- Part-time Domiciliary Care Worker to work in the Romford, Rush Green and Gidea Park areas @ £9 per hour
- Home Care Assistant to work in Havering @ £10 per hour (Drivers only)
- Experienced Care Assistant to work in Upminster and Barking and Dagenham
- Care Assistants (Romford) – Salary £21,000 per annum
- Carers to work in Waltham Forest and Barking and Dagenham @ £8.21 to £10.50 per hour
- Domiciliary Carers to work in Havering and Barking and Dagenham @ £8.50 per hour weekdays and £9 per hour weekends
- Domiciliary Care Worker to work in Barking and Dagenham @ £8.71 per hour
Councillor Sade Bright, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and Aspiration, said: “The care sector is growing with a number of openings despite the pandemic and the staff in our job shops are continuing to work closely with local employers to secure opportunities which our residents can take advantage of.
“Now more than ever we are doing all we can to ensure there are job opportunities for local people and I am glad that working with local companies, we have been able to find these opportunities for our residents.
“I will encourage local residents interested in a job and career in the care industry to get in touch and take advantage of these opportunities.”
