Residents can expand their knowledge, improve their wellbeing, or take the first steps towards a new career as Barking and Dagenham Adult College launches its 2025/26 prospectus.
While continuing to offer English, maths and digital skills, the Adult College also offers a range of specialised courses designed to help people get into work.
Specialist courses include:
• Childcare

Returning to the prospectus this year are sewing courses – giving residents the skills needed to mend clothes, use a sewing machine and more.
Cllr Sade Bright, Cabinet Member for Employment, Skills and Aspiration, said: “We’re really proud of what we have on offer at the Adult College – providing learning and support to people of all ages and skill levels.
Whether you’re looking to get the skills needed to work or you just want to learn something new and meet new people, the Adult College will have something for you.”
Whatever the starting point or skill level, the Adult College will work to empower and support residents looking to move on to further training, higher level qualifications or into employment.
