Refugee Week, which this year takes place from Monday 17 to Sunday 23 June, is an annual festival that brings people together, encourages understanding of refugee experiences and provides a platform for the voices and creative work of people who have sought safety.
The theme for Refugee Week 2024 is “Our Home”. From the places we gather to share meals to our collective home, planet earth: everyone is invited to celebrate what our Our Home means to them.
Here in Barking and Dagenham, we’re so proud of the invaluable contributions of refugees who help shape our communities, enrich our culture, and strengthen the fabric of our society.
