Find a personal assistant
A Personal Assistant (PA) assists people with their everyday life.
A PA can help with shopping, household tasks and help with personal care such as bathing and getting dressed. They can also support people to access community resources e.g. the library as well as community activities and leisure facilities such as the cinema, bowling.
We have recently commissioned a new service provider Empower to support residents in finding the right care and support for them, as well as connecting residents with PAs and developing the PA market in Barking and Dagenham.
Empower also provides support and access to resources so that employers and PAs feel confident and responsible in their role.
