Changes to services during the heatwave
Red weather warnings for severe heat are in place on Thursday 25 June and Friday 26 June, with high temperatures expected on Saturday. This may impact some Council services.
We know how important it is to remember those who have died, and we can offer advice on a range of memorials, including trees and benches. To preserve the peace and tranquillity and maintain the high maintenance standard of the sites, no dogs are allowed in (except guide dogs). We are committed to providing a burial service that meets the social, ethical and environmental needs of the community.
We do not provide a cremation service; however, each of our cemeteries has a memorial garden for cremated remains, where loved ones can be remembered with a memorial wedge or vase in a quiet and peaceful environment.
