Confidential advice and support
Refuge provides free support to women and men in Barking and Dagenham who are victims of domestic abuse and violence. Financial abuse is also considered domestic abuse. Refuge supports people in crisis and offers expert advice and guidance to help you stay safe and support you to recover and rebuild your life.
You can contact them Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on telephone 0300 456 0174 or email bdadvocacy@refuge.org.uk. Outside of these hours you can call Refuge for free on their 23-hour helpline 0808 2000 247.
If you think you may be abusing someone, or you’re worried about your behaviour, there is help to change. Email support2safety@lbbd.gov.uk and we will work with you to find the right support.
