South Asian Heritage Month

South Asian Heritage Month is a national celebration that brings communities together to celebrate, commemorate and educate on the rich histories, cultures and contributions of South Asian communities.

The 2026 theme, “Unity in Diversity,” highlights the breadth of cultures, languages and traditions across South Asia, while recognising the shared values that connect us.

South Asian Heritage Month now runs from 1 - 31 July, following a recent change by campaigners to align with a full calendar month and support wider participation. However, recognising the importance of accessibility and community engagement, some of our local events will continue into August, reflecting the previous dates of 17 July -17 August.

We are proud to present a diverse programme of activities taking place throughout the month—offering opportunities to explore culture, history, creativity and community.
