Summer Streets are coming to Barking!
Barking town centre will see semi-permanent food stalls installed and host a series of cultural events and activities this summer.

The Mayor of London's Summer Streets fund is designed to boost local economies and encourage al fresco dining. Barking and Dagenham council was selected as one of just four Large Al Fresco projects, and awarded £100,000 in funding.
Six shipping container-style food stalls will be installed at Short Blue Place in Barking, outside McDonald's. The street food market will showcase the borough's diversity, reflecting the rich culture and cuisine of the community.
Alongside the food market, cultural events will include a range of performances curated by artsdepot, with a full series of events to be announced soon.
