Love gardening? There's still time to sign up to the 2019 Green Garden Waste collection

Barking and Dagenham council is reminding all its green-fingered residents that there's still time to sign up for their Green Garden Waste permits.

With the weather slowly warming up, it won’t be long before we can get back out into the garden. From vegetable patch perfectionists to flower fans, the first step for anyone looking to spruce up their outdoor space this year should be to get their Green Garden Waste permit sorted.

"In 2018 we collected 99% of all Green Garden Waste bins"

Councillor Syed Ghani, Cabinet Member for Public Realm, said: “This year, we are encouraging more of our residents to get passionate about recycling their Green Garden Waste. In 2018, we collected 99% of all Green Garden Waste bins, and we are hoping to meet and surpass this goal again for 2019.”
