Barking and Dagenham Council is delighted to announce the return of its Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme this Christmas, offering an incredible 34 clubs and activities across the borough. Delivered by more than 20 local organisations, the majority of sessions will take place in schools, ensuring families have easy access to fun and enriching opportunities during the festive break.
Starting 22 December, the programme is open to all children and young people, with *FREE places available for those eligible for Free School Meals. Activities include sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and more designed to keep children active, engaged, and supported throughout the holidays.
Cllr Elizabeth Kangethe, Cabinet Member for Educational Attainment & School Improvement, said:
“We are thrilled to offer such an extensive activity programme this holiday season. We’re looking forward to seeing our young people engage in free, educational, and exciting activities throughout the Christmas holidays. I encourage every parent and guardian to take this opportunity and book a place before it’s too late, there are so many fantastic, fun activities on offer.”

- Box Up HAF Holiday Camp – Boxing and fitness for ages 7–16
- DABD SEND Fun Club – Inclusive sessions for children with SEND
- Art & Feast: Winter Wonder Workshop – Creative arts and festive crafts
- Explore the Wild Camp – Nature-based activities at Company Drinks
- Everyone Active Sessions – Sports at Abbey Leisure Centre
- Carousel of Fun & NERF Battles – Action-packed games at Goresbrook School
- ARTBASH Festive Camp – Experimental art at Grafton Primary
- Ballerz Sports Camp – Multi-sports at Valence Primary
- TKO Boxing Club – Non-contact boxing and wellbeing workshops
- Your Sport Multi-Activity Camp – BMX, Nerf wars, gaming bus, and more
