Barking and Dagenham Council’s local elections took place on 7 May 2026.
51,395 residents turned out to cast their votes – 33.93% of the electorate.
The Labour Party retained its majority in the borough, with composition of the council as below:
• Labour Party – 38 seats
• Reform – 9 seats
• Green Party – 4 seats
