The Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme is free to children and young people who live or go to school in Barking and Dagenham and are eligible for benefit-related free school meals, with paid places available for everyone*
This programme is for those aged 4-16.
There's something for everyone! Whether you're looking for something creative, competitive, sporty, there's plenty to choose from!
Every activity includes a healthy meal, supporting children to stay active, social and engaged outside of term time while giving parents and carers additional support during the holidays.
There are dozens of activities available across Barking and Dagenham, all bookable online, making it easy for families to find sessions that suit their interests and schedules.
For each activity, parents, carers and guardians will able to see how accessible it is, including if the session offers one to one care, if staff are autism awareness trained and more.
Councillor Jane Jones, Cabinet Member for Children’s Social Care, Education & Schools, said:
“We’re really proud to offer a fantastic range of free holiday activities for children and young people across Barking and Dagenham. The HAF programme gives young people the chance to stay active, try new things and spend time with friends in a safe and supportive environment, while also helping families during the school holidays. I encourage all parents and carers to explore what’s on offer and book their places early.”
Parents, carers and guardians are encouraged to explore the full programme and book early to secure their preferred sessions.
