Changes to Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and Fees from 07 April 2025

Starting from 07 April 2025, there will be an increase in Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) and additional fees in all 32 London boroughs and the City of London.

This decision was made by the London Councils Transport and Environment Committee and approved by the Mayor of London.

Changes in Barking and Dagenham:

Parking Penalties:

  • Higher Level:

    • Band A: £160 (reduced to £80 if paid within the discount period)
    • Band B: £140 (reduced to £70 if paid within the discount period)

  • Lower Level:

    • Band A: £110 (reduced to £55 if paid within the discount period)
    • Band B: £90 (reduced to £45 if paid within the discount period)

Bus Lane and Moving Traffic Penalties:

  • £160 (reduced to £80 if paid within the discount period)

London Lorry Control Scheme Penalties:

  • Operator's penalty: £550 (unchanged)
  • Driver's penalty: £130 (unchanged)

Additional Fees for clamping and removing vehicles found in contravention:

  • Release fee from wheel clamp: £100
  • Release fee from car pound: £280
  • Daily storage fee: £55 per day
  • Disposal fee: £100
