Unfortunately, we’ve had to increase the cost of some of our parking charges, including visitor parking permits, following a recent review.
The new prices, introduced on Monday, 5 August, are part of a range of changes, including increases to parking charges for our staff.
We reduced parking permit prices to help people through the COVID-19 pandemic and cost-of-living crisis and froze them until recently.
But, due to inflation and severe budget pressures that the council faces, we are no longer able to offer the reduced price. Given the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, this isn’t a decision that has been taken lightly.
We are committed to supporting residents who are struggling financially. If you need help, you can find out more about the range of support we can provide on our cost of living support page.
