Most development sites, even the smallest ones, support wildlife, and it is important that this wildlife is protected and that development sites contribute to increasing wildlife in the borough.
Householders carrying out work that affects roofs or trees must ensure that breeding birds and bat roosts are not harmed, even if planning permission is not required for the works.
