The council commissions an independent domestic and sexual abuse service, run by Refuge, to support victims of domestic and sexual abuse. The service will support all and any victim of domestic abuse, including men. They are here to provide you with the expert advice and guidance you need to make you safe. The service provides free support for any victim of domestic, sexual or gender-based violence for as long as it’s needed. The service responds to crisis situations, as well as supports people to recover and rebuild their lives.
You can call them Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on 0300 456 0174 or email bdadvocacy@refuge.org.uk.
Outside of these hours, you can call Refuge for free on their 24-hour helpline 0808 2000 247
