A zoo licence is required for any establishment where wild animals of any description are kept for exhibition to the public and to which the public are granted access, with or without charge, for seven days or more during any 12-month period.
Should you wish to make an application for a zoo licence, you must notify the council in writing of your intention to do so at least two months before making the application. You are advised to contact the Licensing Team before providing such written notification to ensure that you comply with other pre-application requirements.
Application forms are available on request from the Licensing Team.
