You require a dog breeding licence if you are doing either or both of the following:

• breeding three or more litters of puppies in any 12-month period
• breeding dogs and advertising a business of selling dogs

In the licence application, you will be required to make a declaration that you have read and are familiar with the requirements of the Guidance notes for conditions for dog breeding.
