Council performance

How we monitor and plan performance

There is a corporate performance framework to monitor our performance against the council’s Corporate Plan.

The framework is a collection of performance indicators and deliverables which are a mix of projects and programmes, service development and improvement initiatives and service delivery metrics that are central to achieving our goals.

Monitoring the Corporate Plan helps us to:

  • focus on the council’s priorities
  • set targets to help us deliver good services
  • identify and tackle poor or under-performance
  • be accountable to our residents
  • help ensure we provide value for money
  • help decision makers effectively manage the services

Performance is monitored by Cabinet at six monthly intervals.
