Community safety partnership plan 2023 to 2026

The Community Safety Partnership (CSP) Plan sets out how we plan to work collaborative across all partner agencies to ensure that Barking and Dagenham is a safer place to live, work and visit. Each year the partnership develops an annual Crime and Disorder Strategic Assessment. The assessment is an audit that looks at community safety trends based on recent data, views of our residents and the emerging trends and community safety challenges. The assessment is used to inform the overarching three year community safety partnership plan.

The priorities for 2023 to 2026

The Crime and Disorder Strategic Assessment has identified and offers clear direction on the key local priorities for Barking and Dagenham CSP. The local priorities that have been adopted by Barking and Dagenham CSP are:

  • anti-social behaviour
  • burglary
  • non-domestic abuse violence with injury
  • serious youth violence and knife crime
  • alcohol and drug substance misuse

Delivering priorities for 2023 to 2026

Delivering on the priorities outlined in the Community Safety Partnership Plan requires a range of partner organisations working together. The LBBD CSP has established a structure that brings together partners at a strategic, performance and operational level. The plan will be implemented by the CSP subgroups which bring together key partners to support the delivery of local priorities.

Every member of the community has a role to play in reducing the negative impacts caused by crime and disorder and the challenges we are facing. Working in partnership across the Community Safety Partnership (CSP) and other partnership boards and with our communities we can be confident that we can make Barking and Dagenham a safer place for current and future generations.
