On Sunday 18 September a church service and a civic service were held to celebrate the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The church service was held at St Margaret’s Church in Barking. It was followed by a civic service, during which faith leaders joined the Mayor of Barking and Dagenham, Leader of the Council and Deputy Lieutenant for Barking and Dagenham, in giving prayers from different faiths and laying flowers as a mark of respect to Queen Elizabeth II. People were also invited to sign a book of condolence and children from Marsh Green Primary School sang a hymn.
