Change your tenancy
The named tenant can make changes to their tenancy
The following changes can be made:
- Change their name (marriage/divorce, deed poll name change, correct a spelling mistake)
- Can request to add a partner or spouse (you must have lived together at the property for at least 12 months before you can add a partner or spouse to the tenancy and they must meet other conditions)
- Request that a household member be added to their household composition
- Remove household member
- Change from a joint to a sole tenancy (will also require a visit from the Housing Officer to finalise the change)
You will need your rent account number and may be required to provide proof of ID such as passport, driving licence, marriage/civil partnership certificate or utility bills depending on the change you wish to make.
