How to register and setup your account

Registering and creating an account

It’s easy to create an account.  Go to ‘Sign up now’ on the login screen. Provide your email address (you will need an email address from a secure email provider such as Google, Hotmail or Yahoo) and click the ‘Send verification code’ button. Once you have received your code via your email address enter the code and then provide your name and create a password. Click ‘Create’ once your details and been entered.

Register or log in with My B&D

Logging in

To log in you will need to use the email address and password that you entered when you created your account.

If you forget your password you can select the ‘Forgot your password’ link on the login screen and you'll be asked to provide your email address.  You can then request a verification code to be sent to your email address to confirm it’s the correct address.  Click on ‘Continue’ and you’ll then be able to setup a new password.

Changed your details, such as email address or name.

If you want to change your details, such as email address or name, you can do so within the ‘My details’ section on the My B&D portal.

Access Council Tax account

Click on ‘Register a new account’ under the Council Tax Service and follow the steps outlined in the below instructions.

Access Housing Benefit account

Click on ‘Register a new account’ under the Benefits and support Service and follow the steps outlined in the below instructions.
