Barking and Dagenham Council is encouraging community and voluntary organisations to apply for funding to help with their work to reduce crime and improve community safety in the borough.

On Monday 5 December, as part of the 16 Days of Activism for Violence Against Women and Girls, Barking and Dagenham Council in partnership with specialist domestic abuse support provider Cranston, unveiled a special commemorative plaque on a bench outside Barking Learning Centre, in recognition of all women and girls who have experienced domestic abuse.

The Trading Standards team at Barking and Dagenham Council has received their second prestigious award within a month as they were named Outstanding Team of the Year at the virtual London Trading Standards Awards.
