Barking and Dagenham Council is developing a brand-new housing strategy to help shape the future of housing across the borough - and is calling on residents to get involved and share their views.

Barking and Dagenham Council has awarded £150,000 in funding to local community groups as part of the 13th round of the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) Neighbourhood Fund.

Barking and Dagenham council alongside community partners has officially unveiled its Black History Month 2025 programme. Running throughout October, this year’s theme “Standing Firm in Power and Pride” a bold tribute to the strength, resilience, and cultural richness of Black African and Caribbean communities.
