The Council Tax support scheme for 2025/26 has changed. Your Council Tax Bill could now be reduced by up to 63% if you are of working age, depending on income, savings, household and circumstances. 

You may notice changes to your Council Tax bill for 2025/26 with higher payments than before if you were in receipt of Council Tax Support before 1 April 2025. 

This is because the maximum your Council Tax bill could be reduced by is now 63%. This is lower than the 2024/25 scheme. 

If you are of pension age your Council Tax Bill could be reduced by up to 100%.
