Council Tax Support is a reduction in Council Tax for people on a low income or claiming benefits.

You can claim Council Tax Support if you:

• are liable to pay Council Tax on your home
• occupy the home
• are on a low income or Benefits

You cannot claim Council Tax Support if you:

• have more than £6,000 in combined savings if you are of working age
• have more than £16,000 in combined savings if you are of pension age
• do not have a liability to pay Council Tax or live in shared accommodation
• are from abroad and are subject to immigration control
