Expressions of interest are welcome from:

• registered charities
• community and voluntary organisations
• Community Interest Companies (CICs)
• social enterprises
• faith organisations
• tenant and resident groups
• partnerships and consortiums
• council services working with community partners where a clear community benefit can be demonstrated

Organisations do not need to be based in Barking and Dagenham, but proposals must clearly benefit borough residents. Priority will be given to organisations that already work in the borough. 

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• good governance and financial management
• safeguarding arrangements
• GDPR and data protection compliance
• an organisational bank account
• accessible and inclusive services
• the ability to work with local referral networks and partners

We may ask for supporting evidence, including:

• governing documents
• annual accounts
• bank statements
• safeguarding policy
• equality and diversity policy
• public liability insurance

Partnership and consortium applications are encouraged where they can improve outcomes for residents.
