Joint investigation leads to major convictions and financial recoveries in IPTV piracy case

A collaborative effort between the National Crime Agency Accredited Financial Investigator (NCA AFI), Barking and Dagenham and Redbridge Councils, Sky Broadcasting UK Limited (Sky UK), and the Federation Against Copyright Theft (FACT) has culminated in significant convictions and financial recoveries in a complex IPTV piracy case.

We recently hosted a Film Enterprise Pitch Day, an exciting event dedicated to showcasing the creativity and talent of young filmmakers from eight local schools.

Following the pitches, judges selected a primary school and a secondary school winner, whose film ideas will be professionally transformed into reality.

Barking and Dagenham tops London table AGAIN for first preference school admissions

This year Barking and Dagenham has achieved first preference primary school placements in London.

Figures show that out of 3,038 applications, 2,924 (96.25 per cent) of placements have been offered their first preference, far exceeding the capital’s average of 87.92 per cent, and outperforming every other London borough.
