Stepping Stones, NSPCC started a two-year pilot with LBBD in January 2025, working with 8-10 families where sibling sexual abuse is identified as a concern. It integrates into the social work intervention, attending meetings, providing reports, and can attend court if needed.
Stepping Stones works alongside the LBBD Specialist Intervention Service, which offers:
The service will attend the LBBD CSA Think Space when sibling cases are discussed and offers training to Practice Leads (PLs), while being open to collaborating with other service areas to improve the response to Child Sexual Abuse (CSA).

The Barnardo’s TIGER (Trauma Informed Growth and Empowered Recovery) service provides emotional wellbeing interventions to children and their families to support their recovery post sexual abuse. They offer direct work sessions with the child, generally up to 10 sessions, although this can be extended to 16 if the child's needs require it.
Children are seen at a safe venue of their choice, often their school or another venue in their home borough. The service also provides sessions with the parent or carer, usually 1-2 sessions, but more sessions may be appropriate for younger children or children with special needs, decided on a case-by-case basis. Barnardo’s TIGER collaborates with professionals in the child’s network and supports onward journeys and referrals.
