We recently hosted a Film Enterprise Pitch Day, an exciting event dedicated to showcasing the creativity and talent of young filmmakers from eight local schools.

Following the pitches, judges selected a primary school and a secondary school winner, whose film ideas will be professionally transformed into reality.

Following the council's petition to TfL to begin work to make Dagenham East station step-free, local organisations are making their voices heard too. 

Residents living with Parkinson's across Barking and Dagenham can access free fitness memberships at both Abbey Leisure Centre and Becontree Heath Leisure Centre through a partnership between local leisure operator Everyone Active and Parkinson's UK.
