Counterfeit watches seized
Thousands of pounds of counterfeit goods seized from a Barking shop

Trading Standards Officers from Barking and Dagenham Council are taking action against a shop after they confiscated 51 counterfeit items.

A council Community Safety Enforcement Officer tipped off the Trading Standards team who visited the shop on Wednesday 1 November. Officers discovered a large number of belts and watches of well known brands such as Louis Vuitton, Emporio Armani, Gucci, Versace, Hermes, Rolex and Boss.

East London council staff trained on dealing with knife wounds

In a bid to equip their frontline staff for any situation, Barking and Dagenham Council have trained several officers in bleed first aid training on how to treat a stab wound.

The training was delivered by Street Doctors and officers from the council’s Trading Standards team, Community Safety, Environment Enforcement, Licensing, Antisocial Behaviour and Food Safety staff took part.
