Awards all round for East London council’s Trading Standards Team

It was a victorious week for the Trading Standards Team at Barking and Dagenham Council, last week, as they brought home three industry awards.

At the annual London Trading Standards Awards in the City of London, Barking and Dagenham Trading Standards Officer, Robert Andrews won the Safeguarding Officer of the Year award.

Litterer ordered to pay over £1,000 for dumping in Barking and Dagenham

A Tower Hamlets resident who was caught dropping a cigarette on the floor from the window of a rented car has been found guilty in court.

Enforcement officers from Barking and Dagenham Council saw the driver of a Porche Panamera discard their cigarette while driving along Green Lane, Dagenham on Friday 21 April, this year.

Seizure from Trading Standards Operation 29 and 30

Thousands of pounds of illegal goods seized during two-day Trading Standards operation

Planned raids by Barking and Dagenham Council’s Trading Standards team has resulted in a large haul of counterfeit goods, illicit cigarettes and vapes being confiscated.

The two-day operation took place on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 November with support from trained sniffer dogs saw 14 premises visited.
