Bon appetit - young entrepreneurs and local food companies celebrated with council’s Food Enterprise Fair

Locally grown veg, fruit and flowers were just some of the beautiful produce available to punters at a recent food fair in Barking.

The Food Enterprise Fair was organised by the council and saw local students and food vendors given free stalls on Barking Market to sell their delicious and healthy grub.

In a determined effort to crack down on the illegal sale of vapes and cigarettes, Trading Standards Officers from Barking and Dagenham Council seized nearly £20,000 worth of illicit products over a two-day operation.

Join Tharik Hussain for an inspiring afternoon as he describes Ramadan and its key principles as well as offering the religion-historical context to make clear why the month is so significant to Muslims beyond the popular perception, i.e. the key historical events that have taken place in the month.
